Barnes Stringer graduated from the University College of Osteopathy with a master’s degree and also holds a Sports Massage Level 3 qualification. Unusually Barnes is also a qualified accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers and has a BA (Hons) degree in Business Studies and so is well placed to empathise with how prolonged periods of time sat at a desk can contribute to lower back pain and neck pain.
It is in fact for this reason that Barnes decided to retrain from being an accountant to becoming an osteopath; having suffered with pain for a long time. He is passionate about what he does and works in his own clinic in his hometown of Bristol. He has experience in associate osteopath positions and within the NHS. He employs a variety of techniques including joint articulation, soft tissue massage, spinal and joint manipulation or adjustment, with a view to restoring longer term function.
In his spare time he enjoys playing football and is a keen runner, running weekly with Southville runners and at local parkruns. He is married with two children the youngest of which is now quicker than him over 5k. He is a relatively bad golfer, Bristol Rovers fan and is attempting to learn to play the saxophone.
